“The best way to predict the future is to create it.” — Peter Drucker

When I was very young, even before I knew what the word meant, I knew two things:

  1. I wanted to be an architect.

  2. I wanted to run my own firm.

I just knew I wanted to work for myself. Due to financial reasons and a lack of resources, my dream of becoming an architect has yet to be actualized. However, the dream of creating something that is mine is here.

When I was young, I watched my mother sell amazing cakes and pastries all over the neighborhood. My father started his own business as a personal driver and would repair computers in his spare time for additional income. When I think back to those times, I now realized, unconsciously my parents were setting the foundation for me to create my own–find what would be mine and make it work.

Today, I’ve founded Ream’s Pralines. We make candied pecans and plan on expanding into other baked goods centered around pralines. Ream’s Pralines represents who I am—my history, present and future.
